Good and magnificent setting, I had very lovely time.
The room was spotless and it had shower facilities and bath sheets, that's cool. Location: the hotel was short walk to zocalo and surrounding areas, shops around, and the varied tourist stops. Oaxaca Historic Centre district was worth exploring...

Just a short walk from the Plaza and Cathedral, Villa Alta really impressed me with its cleanliness. The shower pressure was fantastic-definitely the best I encountered in Mexico. I appreciated the community deck with its double outlets, perfect for charging my devices while relaxing. Although the staff were super accommodating, like letting me use the terrace and store my bags post-checkout, I did have some issues. The noise from other guests was disruptive both at night and early in the morning, which might be a concern for light sleepers. Plus, I struggled with the hot water. Though I was advised to run it for 5-10 minutes, waiting that long wasn't ideal. It had great potential but was a bit marred by the noise and hot water inconsistency.

community deck, amazing shower, central location
No hot water!!! The room was dark and uncomfortable!!! Poor Wi-Fi connectivity and an unhelpful manager regarding extra fees!!! Ensure they enforce a smoking policy to prevent odors from seeping through the windows!!!

This hotel could've been lovely, but I encountered cold showers and a manager who seemed uninterested in helping guests, especially me. I woudl ve been thrilled to receive some special treatment for my troubles, but no such luck. I'm still in shock at the extra towel fees. Nearly left a glowing review, but just couldn't.
